PAKISTAN CURRENT ACCOUNT DEFICIT ALMOST SHRINKS TO 54 PC IN MARKET

According to data released today, the Canadian dollar reduced by a minimum of $1.55 billion (54%) to $1.29 billion, compared to $2.85 billion in the same period last year.
The Canadian dollar accounts for 2.8% of GDP (GDP), compared to 5.5% in 2018-19.
In view of the trade imbalance in the same period, the loss was 2.17 billion US dollars to 4.6 billion US dollars, while the loss in the same period last year was 6.78 billion US dollars.
Earlier today, the National Bank of Pakistan stated that in the week ending September 13, the country’s total foreign exchange reserves were $15.89 billion.
Central bank reserves increased by $140 million to $8.6 billion.
